For attendees
How do I save an event?
Tap the bookmark icon on any event card or on the event detail screen. Your saved events appear under the Saved tab in the bottom navigation.
How do I get tickets for an event?
Open the event detail screen and tap "Get tickets". You can select the number of tickets and complete payment via MTN MoMo or Airtel Money through NexumPay. For free events, tap "RSVP — it's free".
Can I get a refund for a ticket?
Refund policies are set by individual organisers. Contact the organiser directly if an event is cancelled or you need a refund. Kesho does not process refunds directly.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile and saved events. You can also email us at support@infoholiks.com and we will process the deletion within 5 business days.
Why am I not receiving push notifications?
Check that notifications are enabled for Kesho in your device settings. On Android: Settings → Apps → Kesho → Notifications. On iPhone: Settings → Kesho → Notifications.
For organisers
How do I become an organiser?
Go to Profile → tap "Become an organiser". Fill in your bio, event category, and optional social handle. Your application is reviewed by the Kesho team within 24 hours. You'll receive a push notification once approved.
Why was my event rejected?
You'll receive a push notification with the specific rejection reason. Common reasons include: unverified venue name, missing Google Maps link, insufficient event description, or duplicate listings. Tap the event in "My Events" to edit and resubmit.
How long does event review take?
We aim to review all event submissions within 24 hours. Events submitted over weekends may take slightly longer. You'll be notified via push notification as soon as your event is reviewed.
Can I edit a live event?
Minor edits (time, price, description) can be made from My Events. Significant changes (venue, date) require resubmission for review. If your event is cancelled, please update it immediately so attendees are informed.
How do ticket payments reach me?
Ticket revenue is processed through NexumPay and transferred to your registered mobile money account within 24–48 hours after the event. A platform fee applies — see our organiser terms for details.
What venues are verified on Kesho?
We maintain a list of verified Kampala venues. If your venue isn't recognised, include the full legal name and a Google Maps link when submitting. Our team will verify and add it to our database.
